Using this service
This site is run by Swansea Council. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this service. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts
- zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate the website using just a keyboard
- navigate the website using speech recognition software
- listen to the service using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
We’ve also made the text in the service as simple as possible to understand.
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this service is
Some people may find parts of this service difficult to use:
- image titles and alt tags are missing in some locations and we are working on adding these
- at one point we display location information on a map – however, there’s also a postcode lookup tool that’s accessible to visually impaired users using assistive technology
- there are old videos embedded on the site that don’t have captions. Captions will be added to any new videos produced by the gallery.
